panPittsburgh2008 invites you to attend the Steelband Summer Intensive with Phil Solomon and Steel Impressions Steelband.

The Steelband Summer Intensive is an opportunity for steelband directors, students and professionals to further develop expertise in steelband performance. During this intensive program, (July 18 - 19, 2008) participants will focus on professional and artistic development in steelpan, through a variety of group discussions, workshops, clinics and performance.

• Specialized sessions for students, teachers and professionals
• Explore steelband tuning and design
• Learn more about steelband technique, performance and music
• Be creative and have fun!

Sessions will be held from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm at CAPA High School (Downtown).

Optional Master Classes and Performances, Friday and Saturday evenings, 6:00 – 9:00 pm.

Fee: $150.00 (plus $50 to rent instrument) payable to: panPittsburgh.
